About

Hello! My name is Lindsay and I am a 20-something world traveler. Before the age of 18, I had actually never been on a plane — until I had the opportunity to visit Taiwan with my roommate from my freshman year at university. I jumped at the chance, and I have been jumping at every chance I have had for international travel ever since.

In 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies. Shortly afterwards, I began my first full-time, post-university job as a political writer and policy analyst. After two years in that position, I made a career switch during the COVID-19 pandemic and started teaching English online. Now, I have a Master’s degree in Global Higher Education from the Universidad de Alcala. And I work as a language assistant at a public high school in Spain.

My goal is to educate my readers on sustainable and realistic travel, especially for people who have a tight budget and a full-time job. Just because we are starting our careers does not mean we have to deprive ourselves of seeing this vast, amazing world. In our increasingly connected planet, we have the opportunity to forge international paths for our education, our careers, or even just our travel experiences during our vacation time.

Why “With Nowhere In Mind”?

To me, the best sort of adventures begin by wandering around with nowhere in mind. There is nothing I enjoy more than the feeling of planting myself in a brand new city and picking a (safe) section of the city to wander around with no destination set in my mind. That is how I find the best hidden gems, whether they are restaurants, Instagrammable murals, or historic sites. And that is part of why I wanted to create this blog: To share my wanderings with you.
