Old-Fashioned Candy Store in Meridian, Idaho: Cravin’s Candy Emporium

Walking through Cravin’s Cany Emporium in Meridian, Idaho, I felt nostalgia for the 1950’s. And I was not even alive in the 1950’s.

This old-fashioned candy store has a variety of the new and the old. It includes a whole section of old-fashioned, glass bottled sodas. It also has a section for local Idaho candies – think Huckleberry Gems and Idaho Spuds. There is also a gelato counter with at least a dozen flavors, including sorbets for the lactose intolerant.

However, my favorite part is the fudge counter. Really, there is more than fudge there. In fact, there is a whole variety of homemade treats. But I think “fudge counter” is the rightful name because, in my opinion, the fudge is the best homemade sweet there.

If you are ever in downtown Meridian, Idaho (or near their second location in Boise), I recommend popping in.
