Things to Do in Mukilteo, Washington
Mukilteo is a city in Snohomish County in Washington State. This area is a beautiful example of the Puget Sound. And it is easy to pass an afternoon or evening there.
Visit the Beach
First off, the beach in Mukilteo is excellent for individuals, friend groups, and families. The beach is a mixture of sand, rocks, and wood. And the view across the water to neighboring islands is breathtaking.
If you go at night, you can make a bonfire in one of the 6 fire pits on the beach. You just need to bring your own wood.
Visit the Lighthouse
Right next to the beach is a still-functioning lighthouse. This light house was built in 1906, and was eventually acquired by the City of Mukilteo and turned into a museum. Even if the museum is not open, you can walk the grounds. The lighthouse grounds include the lighthouse as well as the Keeper’s House, and a gift shop.
Visit Ivar’s
If you are in Mukilteo, you cannot pass up a visit to Ivar’s at Mukilteo Landing for lunch or dinner. Ivar’s in Mukilteo includes both a pickup or sit down option. And the specialty dish to order is definitely the clam chowder. But if that dish is not to your preference, the other specials include smoked salmon chowder or fish n’ chips.
